What problems do birds have?
Birds can be beautiful and majestic animals that really add to the beauty of your neighborhood. They are such fantastic animals that not only look beautiful when they are around, but also take care of a lot of insects and other pests that can be a nuisance to you. This is part of what makes them so fantastic around your home. They sing beautiful songs and really look amazing.
However, having birds coming around comes with its own issues. There are so many problems that come with having birds near your neighborhood, especially if there are large numbers of birds. You will also find that some of the problems relate to the kinds of birds that you have.
Birds can create some serious issues for you. Here are just some of the problems that you will face.
Messes
Let's start with the obvious problems that bird's posse. They are messy. They not only like to leave their waste behind, but a bird will scratch and dig at lots of different areas, which can mean that you will have a lot to clean up if they are coming around on a regular basis.
The first issue you will face is feces. Birds just go anywhere they want, and even when they are flying they can drop a load or two. This will leave a lot of problems for you, especially considering that the stains of some bird's feces can be quite difficult to get out. Pigeons are a great example. They will drop their feces and the whitish mixture can be very difficult to completely get out, especially if it has had a chance to bake in the sun. If there are several dozen of these animals you can have some serious issues.
Birds also like to build nests. This means that they will use whatever materials they find available to them. They will dig at anything and use things that they find to make a comfortable nest. This can mean that they can damage your property to make their nest, and the nest itself can be a big mess to clean up.
If they have found a way into your home, that will make for a mess for sure. Many birds find access into the attic and, once there, they will tear up insulation, boards, and items that you may have stored. It will not be a pretty site for sure.
Health Risks
Birds may seem harmless, but the truth is that they can be quite dangerous to your health. Many bird species are like rats or mice in that they carry a large number of parasites and diseases. Even when the birds are gone they can still be dangerous to you because their waste carries many of these parasites and diseases in them, which remains for days or even weeks after they are gone.
Birds can carry many diseases with them that can be dangerous to your health. Most of these affect your respiratory system, and this can mean you will have trouble breathing or get infections that can be quite dangerous to your health long term. If not treated right away, this can lead to serious issues that can even lead to death.
The parasites in bird feces are just as dangerous. While most diseases attack your respiratory system, the parasites in birds attack your digestive tract or your heart. What happens is that they burrow into your skin and then use your blood stream to make their way to your intestines or to your heart where they attach and begin to feed off of your blood or food you are digesting. This can lead to malnourishment for you or to a toxic for your blood. While one parasite may not be that much of a problem, they will eventually release hundreds, if not thousands of others into your body which can lead to death.
The worst part of this is that the parasites are often found in the bird's feces. This means that if you step in the feces the parasites will attach to your foot or other part of your skin and begin the process of invading your body. You need to be careful when encountering areas where birds are living around you.
Damage to Your Property
Birds creating a mess in and around your home are not the only issue you may have. The fact is that birds like to peck to sharpen their beaks and make them tougher than they were. This can mean that they will peck at trees on your property or they will peck at the siding of your home or the shingles on your roof. This is a natural instinct, so they will simply do what comes natural to them.
Because of this they can cause a great deal of damage to your home. This is especially true if they have started to peck at a spot and have eventually created a whole in the siding. This can lead to them getting into your home, which can be a total disaster for you.
Noise
While the sounds of the birds can be pleasant, if you have a bunch of them around your home then you know that they can be really loud. Talk about a problem. This can stop you from being able to sleep comfortably in the early morning, and can just be a terrible disturbance to your peace. Unless they go away they will take a lot of your joy away.
